So my douchebag film history teacher seems to take issue with today’s digital advances in filmmaking, right?
this is a problem because he’s teaching film history to a class of people in a major called Digital Filmmaking
So one of his questions in an assignment on Bicycle Thieves is this: What stylistic and aesthetic lessons from the film do you think are applicable to today’s (digital) filmmaking practices?
Note his completely unnecessary addition of (digital)
So I’m starting off my answer with this:I don’t think this necessarily has anything to do with film vs. digital (as digital is really just a simpler way of capturing the same story that one could capture in a film format)
Bitch you DO NOT know passive aggressive until you’ve met me
